Oh yes. This Mitchell and Webb Book was delivered.
delightful surprise: there are a few pages with drawings of Naboo and Vince, “designed to cater for fans of The Mighty Boosh who have been bought this book by mistake”
slightly-shocking surprise: there are also two pages full of pictures of topless women.
not-so-surprising surprise: David’s writing, as I expected, is a bit hard for me to follow. I need to read one sentence about 3 times before I can figure out the structure and the grammar. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, on the contrary I enjoy it. Looking forward to his new book. A great chance to practice my English and learn some (posh) words.
I have to say I disagree with you about David Mitchell, he’s an incredibly nice guy and I think sort of 100% un-smug.
